An educational visit was organized for B.Pharm Ist year students on 21Dec 22 to International Herbal Fair, at Lal Pared Ground, Bhopal. The Herbal Fair was organized by MP State Minor Forest Produce (Trade & Development) Cooperative Federation Limited.The annual fair, which started in 2001. It is held every year to promote sale of herbal products and aims at socio-economic uplift of tribals, forest dwellers and others involved in the business. Free of cost diagnosis by authorized Ayurveda experts was available at the fair.
About the International Herbal Fair approx. 250 stalls of Herbal medicines and traditional herbs and approx. 50 stalls of handloom exhibition were set up in the fair by different Govt. and Semi Govt. Organizations. Along with the event, other cultural programmes were scheduled.
Main aim of International Herbal Fair visit is to provide an exposure to students about Herbal medicines and traditional uses of herbs. And that is also a good opportunity to gain full awareness about Herbal medicines, equipment’s, techniques. Students visited various stalls and got knowledge about Herbal medicines, equipment, techniques used in the formulation of Herbal drugs and traditional uses of herbs.
